I just recently got a Sweetone C and the spacing between the last two holes is about an inch or a little more. I find it feels really ackward to get my ring finger to stay on that last hole without my middle finger slipping off the other hole..My question is does the hole spacing get even larger apart the lower the whistle? If it does how in the heck could anyone play a Low D?
Just not like a High D, since you can roughly double eevery measurement. You could search this board for references about “piper’s grip”.
Thou shalt play the low D, and
beg for more. The 11th commandment.
Just you wait–it’s doable, alright.
I low D??? Peshaw tha’s notin’, ye think da’s a beeg whis’l does ye? Shoot I have a Low Bb that is as much bigger than a Low D as a Low D is bigger than a High D… It’s as long as my arm, shoulder to middle finger tip, around 30" or so…
