I haven’t completely disappeared. I lurked a (very) little this week. The time I’m away from the board is well spent practicing.

The guy standing behind me (over my right shoulder) is fife maker Ron Peeler, who made the MPF. Notice I have two more fifes in my hip pocket.
About 150 fifers and drummers who couldn’t wait until summer all packed into this hall on Saturday for food, drink and music. After a while I had to surrender and put in the earplugs.
I knew I’d eventually be accused of either homosexuality or communism with that fife!
Doesn’t matter what anyone thinks or says, though. That pink ivory fife practically plays itself. It also has a sweetness that you just don’t find with blackwood.

I agree Jim…with the playing aspects. As the owner of one and a half pink ivory Abell whistles, I have to say no one has accused me of homosexuality or communism. Must be the air .
