Hello and sunny Greetings from Germany. I have not been practically useful on the board for such a long time, occassionally could come and read in the last year but was not on the computer a lot like I used to…
It has been good seeing the board be alive/lively and familiar faces… today wanted to make German player in the Osnabrück Area or willing to travel that there is again a workshop weekend going on in April and Whistle teacher is Alan Doherty. I allowed myseld to set the link to our news page in which I could put all info I have online, also a pdf-file of an informational flyer for the workshop which also can be used for applying. There is not many places for the workshop so rather be quick to contact them. http://www.colingoldie.de/news-reader.48/items/25.html
With us things have improved a little bit and my health is nearly back to normal again which I am very happy about.
All through the last 15 months email delay has been a big issue and I still recommend to give us a call if you have the impression you got lost somewhen… I have yet not caught up on the backlog but it is getting better again also since I can work more hours now so am hopeful that there will be a “normal” after all soon.
it has been again a long time since I have been active on the board, although I was/am again reading mostly every day. During the last 2 years I have not been very active online or on the computer working but it is for a few months now nearly like back to normal again or what I hope will become normal to me …
I am sure many of you have not received email replies over the last 2 years in a proper time frame or at all from me and there are still many unanswered emails in my mailbox. My wishful thinking or last year that within half a year or so I would have been able to catch up and get back to a normal response time, that was totally unrealistic and I am sad that many people have not had the attention they deserved from me. I am hopeful it all will unfold alright in a few months time and I can only point out again, that if you feel something takes too long on response from our side, please give us a phone call. The number is on our ‘Impressum-page’. Also wanted to point out again, that when I manage to write to people and say “please call Colin to get answers from him”, to call Colin and not write the questions in an email to be answered. Colin can always call straight back to safe the phone bill and it is easy for him on the phone to answer any question that come to mind about whistles…
Here is now an information for people in Germany or the Netherlands as they are close by too… in April there is again a workshop weekend in the northwest of Germany, Osnabrücker Land. There are courses on pipes etc. and also a tin/low whistle course and Alan Doherty is the teacher for this year again. The information for the course is below listed. I know already of a few players that will be going there to attent classes so not sure how many actually could still subscribe, but I am sure it will be well worth the effort to get there. I copied the contact information below for your information.
I really hope that you are all happy with life and wish you good health for the coming year/s and with this happiness is usually very close by as well.
Greetings and best wishes from
Brigitte
