Jon C. over on the flute forum makes some nice cases out of oak, and they are very reasonably priced. I just use a roll made of fleece.
Go to Wal-mart or Gander Mountain or a local sporting goods store and get you a shot-gun case. It will protect about 10 to 12 whistles for a reasonable price of $19.95.
best of luck
I have a similar whistle case. Only yesterday I paid the local engineer for putting a brass plate on the lid with 6 threaded holes and for 6 short brass stems which I can screw in when I need whistle stands - the case then becomes a stable base for a 6 whistle stand. Looks neat. Sorry I don’t have equipage to post photo.
Just cruising an ebay seller and came across this baby!
Might get a few looks walking into a session with it but man, you’d be ready for ANYTHING with that case!
Minus the gun, I think that this one would be a good choice. One could fit any number of different kinds of whistles in this case. Plus you get a storage are for accessories, too. Only costs $30 (USD) from Cabela’s. Hm, I think I may need to get one soon.
Ooooo! That’s great!
From an ealier post.
