It’s clear that Mike Harding is a satellite, as he’s danced around the Earth at least once. Maybe the Astronomy Illuminati could upgrade his status to a planetoid.
Considering the types of music that cover the range of emotions, however, it seems that dance is limited to love lust and happiness. Are there dances of mourning?
There are different videos, with completely different shots in each. My favourite is the one in India where he does his own dance, and then joins in with same moves as the Indian Dancers. Beautiful!
He saved up money as a programmer, and Used his savings to take the vacation of his dreams (and made a silly video). Stride gum sponsored his second trip. For the most part it seems that he didn’t stay at the Marriott and eat caviar. He comments that “Aside from the flights, I spend less on any given day than I would sitting at home paying utilities, car insurance, parking tickets”. So I don’t think that I would put him in with the Paris Hilton’s of the world. He set priorities and was lucky.
That is the most pathetic display of, “Over here! Look!!! I’m over heeeeerrrrre!!!” that I’ve ever seen. Waving your Male on the beach is highly overrated.
Except that I look pretty much Heinz 57 Euro-mix myself, so I’m confused.
If there’s a message conveyed by the video, I’d summarize it by saying “people are people, whatever their ethnicity or nationality–see? We all like to dance silly sometimes.”
So what does the filmmaker’s ethnicity have to do with that? And who might “appropriately” make something similar without you suspecting him/her of condescending behavior?
Should caucasian guys from middle-America not travel? Or not record it if they do? I don’t get it. Help me! Help me!
