There’re a lot of people who used to be frequent posters who now rarely post at all. It saddens me.
Maybe they spend all their spare time practicing the whistle…

It is rather strange to think that somebody would “drop out” of such a wonderful community as this.
I have seen many,many people over the years take up whistle only to lose interest in it when they discover the incredible amount of work needed to attain a high standard of playing.
Then again,peoples priorities change as life moves on.Internet communities tend to lose members to marriage and kids etc.
I am not suggesting that any of this applies to Dakota Mouse of course and I’m kinda confident that jbarter will shed some light on the matter later on today - it is,after all,02:00 here in England and anybody with any sense is tucked up in a nice warm bed on this cold windy night.

Whilst sitting around reading the sunday paper I pondered…what would happen if I googled my on line name …Dakotamouse. It led me to this thread. Thank you for the birthday wishes! Yes, I kinda dropped out of sight, didn’t I. I have been very lazy with my whistles. Still have them and enjoy celtic music. But I don’t really play anymore. They drove the husband batty. Maybe if I played better …

I own a 150 Italia Buddy scooter. It goes 65 mph and gets 80 mpg. The husband has a 750 Honda Shadow. We take both the bikes down to the Black Hills in South Dakota and ride the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. I also ride my scooter back and forth to work and around town.

I built it myself and it is just a hoot to play. Rather quiet so the husband never even knows when I’m practising.
