Yeah, I noticed that too when I tried to play along. Though taht can eb fun you know, turning jigs into reels and vice versa. I do that with the Maid Behind the Bar, it works very well.
I guess this must have been a re-enactment for some history program. I thought that little girl dancing was cute 
!
It’s simply a jig (the name if which escapes me) that has been transformed into a reel, that is followed by Drowsy Maggie. No big whoop.
The lederhosen is the clincher for me.

The A part sounds like Morrison’s, but the B is different…
I know I’ve heard it in session before, 'cause I tried to play
Morrison’s and had to stop when the B came around.
The reelifying of jigs (or vice-versa) is common.

And the dubbing is very good for such countrified folks as well!

Actually he has some skills but almost loses the plot on a few turns because of his, um, flair.
Actually, I enjoy these clips, particularly tinwhistler’s.
I think it takes a bit of nerve to film yourself and put it on internet for the whole world to see. (and critique)
