got a bad cold

and when i sneeze, i sneeze twice with the same breath, like rapid-fire, and then once more with one more lung-full.
anyone else experience this sneeze-pattern?

Not sure…Is it more like a waltz time, or a jig? :stuck_out_tongue:

this is good for you amar, take it daily, and you’ll get no more colds

and if you can’t get it, this isn’t too bad either

The next time you sneeze, hold your eyelids open with your hands, and your eyes will pop out of the sockets.

Or so I’ve heard…

could happen, that is in fact why we close our eyes when sneezing…

anyway, i prefer having my eyes in their sockets, but that’s just me i suppose.

I sneeze like that sometimes, but I don’t have a cold.

I’ve read in a medical journal an article that suggest that kind of sneezing often is the prodromal phase of a rare illness which will ultimately reduce libido. You probably should be quarantined and not allowed to travel internationally.

Amar, I’m your doctor. Trust me.

well, any two things that fit on one ear just might be related to eachother… :astonished:

You are referring, of course, to Master Omega and insomnia.

Amar you should probably listen to Dale. By the way I like you new Avatar Dale.

Machine gun style sneezing? :astonished:

:frowning: My sympathy is right there with you Amar with this being sick business. Been sick more than well so far this new year. Just get well in time to catch another bug. It’s disgusting and mind boggling to see how much mucus ones sinuses can produce. YUCK!!! :boggle:

 / :frowning: Sara

Not to be obnoxious, or evangelical or anything, in light of the brand spankin’ new C&F recipe thread…but the year I gave up meat (1993 to be specific,) I had spent an entire winter on this cycle: 2 weeks with a cold, two week recovery, followed immediately by the next 2 week cold. I quit meat. I’ve had about 2 (oh…maybe 3) serious colds since then.

I think the eye muscles would keep that from happening. They don’t stretch that much. Plus the conjuntiva would have to tear away.

As to your cold, there was a thread recently where several people advocated rinsing your sinus’s (?) with warm saline. Perhaps you should give it a try. I did it and haven’t caught a cold yet.

Of course that doesn’t really prove anything. It’s the old causation fallacy.

c’mon now, you can’t really be insinuating that vegetarianism leads to having less colds!?

Each cold lasting only 4 years and two months…

Now I come to think about it, I’ve never seen a carrot with a runny nose.

OTOH, I have seen lots of cows with runny noses, and they’re vegetarian.

Well… they’re supposed to be anyway.

I actually got a cold last week too, oddly enough. Even skipped a day of class. :astonished:

First one I’ve had in years that actually gave me a fever or more than just a case of the sniffles.

I blame it on school. Too much stress and all that. Bad for your health. :stuck_out_tongue:

No insinuations, not at least that I’d try to apply to anyone else, but I believe that my immune system functions better without animal protein. This isn’t a preach, just a personal observation.
