Harry, I found Watson flutes quite close to Murray’s (and not only in the neighbourhoodian sense of the word 
Maybe I perceived sort of better craftmaship in Watson’s but still prefer Murray’s tone. What would you say that are the main differences and connections between both of them?

I wouldn’t say, I find them very different to the extent that I’d have to use all those silly internet words to try and desrcribe the difference!
We should try everything if we get a chance: if somebody likes the Murray sound then I’d reccomend a Murray, if they like Watson’s sound then I’d reccommend a Watson: both are excellent flutes that offer different things (and some similar things).

I’m not thinking of a new flute though. I have plenty to deal with my current one for -let’s say- several lives.
It’s just that there’s sort of excitement with Glenn’s work in Spain. I know at least 3 guys waiting instruments from Mr. Watson. He makes great flutes and to my short acquintance with him, he seems a friendly man.

Great clips Harry, thanks! Super sounding flute too. Hadn’t heard of this maker before, but his gear looks the part as well as sounds it (in your hands, anyway) - and those prices are very competitive, especially with the short wait! Anyone fancying one, get in there before this guy has a ten-year order book!
