Why does my XP system @1024x768 display Google in Firefox like this, with horizontal scrolling needed:
and yet Firefox in Private Browsing mode shows it like this, with no problems?
And its fine in IE. It’s driving me mad.
Reset the Firefox zoom?
Go to View → Zoom → Reset
or press Ctrl and 0
Chrome.
I was going to say NO, as it occurs all the time, even when starting a new window or session, and even after all Google cookies are deleted and cache cleared, but… What do you know, that did it! How weird, and thanks! Why this Zoom level would persist I just don’t understand - it has always cleared for other pages.

Do you have Better Privacy installed in Firefox?, if so you should let it rip on the Flash cookies after you nuke the normal ones.
Or you could use Opera with it’s fit to width facility. (Opera is what I use for Chiff and the other message boards I frequent)

However, I am ashamed to say that my computer knowledge is not what it once was, and I feel like a helpless kitten. Last time I was in Ireland, I had to come back and fix some Win NT installs for Sony Pictures Imageworks, that their on-site Microsoft team couldn’t put right over 2 weeks. Which of course I had running within an hour.
