Today, after a time of use, my computer goes wonky. Here’s the symptom: when left-clicking on something, instead of changing the page it will set up a new tab as if I had center-clicked. If I want to reply to something, I get a new tab, and another, and another for every task I attempt, whether it’s a submit, what have you. I have to restart the computer to get out of that madness, but eventually the auto-tab symptom starts again. What the heck is up with that?
What browser do you use?
(e.g., firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome Safari, etc)
Sorry for the omission. I use IE.
Hmmm. Tough one. In IE, if you hold the
Control key while left-clicking, it opens a
new tab. Maybe the Control key is getting
stuck (or the operating system thinks it is)?
If you don’t get a better answer, next time
it happens try tapping the Control key, see
if that shuts it off.
Thanks! Will do. ![]()
A stuck key would be my first guess, too.
hopefully he’s got a bit of key oil about ![]()
He doesn’t.
he scares me, he does
Boo.
