I’ve had both these whistles for years and I’m not playing whistle much, and those I’m playing tend to be on the quieter side. The Weasel and the Silkstone are loud whistles, ideal for louder sessions.
Water Weasel in “C”. US$80
I’m asking 80$ for the whistle, I think it was being sold 70$ at the Whistle Shop at the end, but with the exchange rate I paid more than what I’m asking. The only thing I’m asking, if such a thing is possible, is that the buyer intends to actually play the whistle and is not trying to re-sell for a profit (theorical higher value because of the maker’s death…). The whistle plays very nicely but I have a quieter Sindt and I’m not much of a collector.
Silkstone Alloy “D”. US$150
I’m asking 150$ for the whistle. I definitely paid more for it. Here’s a link to the website and it’s price:
This whistle is a bit loud (my own taste) for a small session so I’m using a Burke narrow bore instead, which is quieter. But the whistle plays very nicely and I played this for years. I did not polish it or anything so expect a well used whistle that looks like it’s been used
The buyer(s) will need to pay for postage/insurance, which will be added to the price.
I hope I didnt forget anything!
