FS-Sindt D/Eb Combo (correction!)

Please ignore my earlier–and incorrect–post. The tubes are not D and C. They are D and Eb.

In excellent condition, almost not played at all, this D/Eb combo (one mouthpiece with two bodies) has that sweet, pure, just a bit chiffy sound that Sindt is well known for.

How this combo set came into being: I bought a D and then an Eb whistle from John, and I am keeping one of the mouthpieces and selling one (with both Sindt tubes–the D and the Eb). Hence, the combo is born.

And in answer to an earlier question: I don’t know if John makes combo sets of D/Eb or not… However, I do know that the D and Eb tubes play equally beautifully (in tune, great tone) in this one mouthpiece.

John does make sets. He is making me a set of whistles as follows:

  • D whistle with E & Eb tubes
    C whistle with C# tube
    Bb whistle with B & A tubes.

Bb whistle with B & A tubes.

This seems overkill : I have a Sindt B which easily tunes down to Bflat and so covers both keys with one body and without problems

It was more to have a complete set of all keys and it’s less expensive in sets.
