I love all the “notions” of the Shaw Low D. Conical, old-timey, breathy sound. Tried one once…and liked it except for the wind requirement.
Has anyone ever figured out how to tweak one of these so the breath needs were, say, cut in half?! (outside of squeezing the head, willy nilly in a vise!)
I’d buy a Shaw Low D with good intonation and a reasonable (for me) wind requirement.
Has anybody out there dealt successfully with these issues?
