For sale a 4 keyed Lehart.
I’ve tried other Lehart flutes, and I found that his recently made ones respond better that the older onces. My one was made about a year and a half ago (I got it directly from the maker).
This is a really good flute, a blackwood Rudall-ish model with large-ish holes (but less that a Pratten). It’s capable of a very good volume and it’s easy to blow. Gilles Lehart is a very well respected maker and very famous flute players play or appeciate his flutes.
I can’t detect any scratches, it’s in perfect conditions. The tone is warm and not too edgy, Michael McGoldrick plays one in his album Morning Rory I believe, there you can get an idea of what is capable of.
The keys are: Eb, short F, G# and Bb, that makes it chromatic. They are custom, so that they can be played with both normal grip and piper’s grip (G# goes a bit more out so that is more confortable for the pinkie, Eb is turned and bent, like on some 8 keyed flutes, a feature that I like very much). The Bb key is activated with the right thumb, it’s not ideally long but you can get used to it. I use it with no problems on a couple of tunes (there aren’t really many in irish music where you need it). It comes with a very good and strong pistol case. The flute is in Rome. I’m selling it because I bought an old fully keyed Pratten style flute and need money for the restoration.

I’d like 920 euros + shipping (new this are I think 1030 euros without case) for a like new keyed flute + case, a very good price I believe. I guess paypal is the fastest and easiest way for the payment.
