Yes, I’m selling my Lehart flute. But only for 3 days ![]()
If I don’t receive real offers within this 3 days and payment within maybe 6 days, the flute will not be for sale after that.
It’s a really good flute, a blackwood Rudall-ish model with large-ish holes (but less that a Pratten). It’s capable of a very good volume and it’s easy to blow. Gilles Lehart is a very well respected maker and very famous flute players play or appeciate his flutes. His newer models play better that his older ones, and my one was made less that a year and a half ago (I got it directly from the maker).
I can’t detect any scratches, it’s in perfect conditions. The tone is very warm and not too edgy, Michael McGoldrick plays in his album Morning Rory, I think, there you can get an idea of the tone.
The keys are: Eb, short F, G# and Bb. They are custom, so that they can be played with both normal grip and piper’s grip (G# goes a bit more out, Eb is turned and bent, like on some 8 keyed flutes). The Bb key is activated with the right thumb, it’s not ideally long but you can get used to it. I use it with no problems on a couple of tunes (there aren’t really many in irish music where you need it). It comes with a very good and strong pistol case.
I’d like 930 euro + shipping (new this are I think 1030 euros without case) for a like new keyed flute + case, a very good price I believe. I didn’t put pictures and clips because there’s not much time before this flute will not be for sale anymore, but maybe I could if you really really need them. Oh, the flute is in Rome.
Please contact me for questions if you’re seriously interested (and within 3 days
)
Thanks,
Lorenzo
PS: oh, I guess paypal is the fastest and easiest way for the payment…
