FS: Octave Mandolin: Old Woods Luthierie (Newfoundland)

Hi again all,

In addition to the big Grinter flute (separate thread), I’ve also to sell this very nice Old Woods Luthier (Newfoundland) octave mandolin. I’m no expert on these things, but it seems like a very nice instrument, and Zac Leger (who is an expert) quite fancied it when he played it (hope he doesn’t mind my saying). Currently strung to CGAE. Very nicely made with some lovely wood - back is Newfoundland birch I believe, I think the front is spruce. Bound rosewood fingerboard. See pictures - flash darkens everything up a bit, last two are closer, but a bit light perhaps. Only issue is very slight dinges on the edges of the soundhole where previous owner had one of those accoustic pickups in it. 20 1/2 inches bridge to nut. 3 1/8" body depth, 13 3/8" across body. Whatdoyoucallit rod in neck. Asking $625. Offers considered. Selling due to another instrument incoming that must be funded. Questions? PM or email offers please to bepoq1 AT gmail.

All the best,

Ben
