FS: Lynch half set with extras

I took possession of this half set from Kirk in April 2009. Great sounding set and plays really well. I just don’t have time for it with my MBA program, work, Highland pipes, border pipes, family, etc. Playing a few tunes once or twice a week doesn’t keep the chops up. The mainstock is pre-bored to accept regulators. These are typical Lynch drones in ebony and brass. Cherry mainstock I believe. Kirk’s drone reeds.

Chanter is set with three keys - C natural, F natural, and G sharp keys. Wood chanter top is set with a stop key for inhibiting the air supply to the chanter for greater ease in fine tuning of drones and regulators. The key rotates to be positioned at any place on the chanter to suit the piper. The reed is fairly easy on air consumption.

I will include NPU tutorial DVDs I & II. Comes with popping strap and bellows ‘kidney’ pad.

Due to having a child on the way in spring, these have to go. Throw a kid into the mix and I’m sure I’ll be even more strapped (no pun intended!) for time. Pics available on request.

$3700 firm. This set would cost $4275 plus shipping new from Lynch. You receive a $600 break and no two year lead time. Includes insured shipping in the US. For the rest of the world, we can talk.

I will sell the drones (with bellows) and chanter separately but would prefer to sell as a unit. Feel free to ask though.

Would make a great Christmas present to yourself wouldn’t it…?
