Hi..
I have been back and forth regarding this flute the last months.. I have decided to sell it now because I need the cash for a polymer/ebonite flute..
The flute sounds really nice, but I have a problem with a crack in the barrel on the headjoint. I got it repaired and was a happy camper. But now the crack has reopened.. I will not bring the flute back to the repairman again. I payed about 75 euros for the repair and obviously it was not worth it I know there are lot’s of people out there with either the ability to make the repair themselves or someone close who knows what to do.
I live in Norway and have come to the conclusion that temperature changes here may be too much for some wooden flutes. That is why I now have decided to find a nice polymer/ebonite flute.
The flute is a Lejeune flute made of African Blackwood, with tuning slide. They list at 675 euros new. The flute is a standard design lying somewhere in between R&R and Pratten. More information about Lejeune flutes here; http://users.skynet.be/geertlejeune/
