FS: Gallagher B natural chanter

I’m selling my Gallagher Bnat chanter. Work has caused me to reduce the time available for pipes and when I practice I tend to use my D set as I’m focusing on reg playing.

The chanter was made in 2003, from ebony, brass and imitation ivory (i.e. real plastic). It has 5 keys (Fnat, G#, Bb, Cnat and hi D) and a wooden top. Excellent condition. The only issue is a tiny chip on the lower mount. Gorgeous tone, particularly in the lower octave. I know I’m going to regret selling this chanter but it deserves to be played, but I just don’t have the time and won’t have for the foreseeable future. Asking US$2,000. Message me if interested.

Here’s a comparison of the B chanter with a D chanter, to show the lower hand “stretch”.

And this shows the small chip on the lower mount.

Bumping this post and adding some video clips.

Asking price reduced to US$1,850.

I’ve decided to keep the chanter. Thanks to those who expressed interest.
