I’m pretty sure I’m ok reposting this here as well as in the ‘for sale’ forum. If not, let me know, and I’ll delete it.

Many years ago, I had ambitions of becoming a flutemaker. I have finally admitted that this will likely never happen, so I am selling my workshop equipment. If you’re interested in giving flute making a shot, this is pretty close to a turnkey package, except of course for the skills :slight_smile:.

Includes:

  • South Bend Heavy 10 lathe
    Jet vertical mill
    Sherline miniature vertical mill
    Lots of tooling, including air/coolant fed gun drills
    Misc bar stock for making drills & reamers
    Blackwood & other species turning blanks

Asking $4550. I would love to sell everything as a unit, but I am okay separating out items if need be. Located in Athens, Ohio. If you live somewhere far away, keep in mind that this is industrial equipment, so shipping gets interesting. The lathe by itself weighs over 800 lbs…

Not surprised! Pretty sweet deal for someone making a start at the craft. Shipping the big lathe will cost more than the lathe itself I reckon!
