I’m selling my Casey Burns Standard flute. I’ve owned this flute for a little over a year (bought it new), and it has been meticulously cared for. Swabbed after playing, kept in a humidified case, oiled regularly, etc. The flute is in excellent condition and has been played almost every day for the last 16 months. There are no cracks. For those of you that don’t know about Casey’s Standard model, it’s an easy player and can put out an impressive amount of volume. The bore is fairly large, and the tone holes are probably a little bit bigger than what you’d call medium, but not as big as the big ol’ Pratten holes I suppose. This flute was $975 US new. I’m asking $775 US plus $22 for shipping and insurance in the US. If you’re outside the US, we’ll have to calculate a shipping cost. If you’d like a sound sample, I’m sure I can dig one up and e-mail it. PM or e-mail if interested.
I didn’t know Casey made the “standard” model with a long foot. For a long time all I’d seen was the short foot, but now I’ve seen two in the last couple of weeks with the long foot.
Well mine originally came w/ a short foot.
I tried a long foot from another one of his flutes on mine and thought it sounded a little tighter. So I asked if he’d replace the short foot I originally had w/ a long one, which he did.
hah. wow.
i see you replied to my “feet” post. that was actually intended for you, but as a part of this post right here. did you know that, or were you just being funny?
either way, it worked out fine! made it look like i actually had a clue as to what’s going on…
tricky? not too much…
but buttons that look the same but do very different things right next to each other, ready to confuse my ready-for-bed brain?
yes.
