FS: Bleazey high D whistle, Tipple B flute

Hi,

I have the following two instruments for sale:

High D whistle in blackwood made by Phil Bleazey
Very good condition, no cracks, no dings etc., shows some lighter spots in the wood around the finger holes and at the mouth piece, some drops of oil should solve that. The silver parts could need a polish, I didn’t bother to do that since I actually like the patina. Tuning is good, volume high. Ideal session whistle. I mostly play the flute these days and use my quieter whistles for practising tunes, so I’m letting this one go. These go for around 170 euro new. I’d like 140 euro.

Doug Tipple B natural flute, grey PVC, with wedge
Though being a nice flute, this one doesn’t get played very much because it needs an embouchure that is quite different from mine I’m using on my main flute. It’s made from grey PVC and has nice decorative silver rings made from decoration foil. I bought it from another C&Fer half a year ago or so for 50 euro, and that’s what I’d like for it. Comes with the Tipple-Fajardo Wedge. A sound file featuring this particular flute can be downloaded on Doug’s web site.

Insuried shipping in europe is 17 euros into most countries via DHL, uninsured shipping is cheaper, but well, it’s uninsured…

I’d like to sell those two instruments inside of europe as insured shipping costs are very high outside of europe. If you are not from europe and still want to buy, I’m sure we can work something out though.

Contact me via email or PM if interested.

Best,
Gabriel

Hy can you compares the Bleazey to a Swayne?

I never played a Swayne , but after reading the review on tinwhistler.com, I guess that it’s a completely different animal than the Swayne.

Here’s a sound file and some photos:

You can see the slightly discoloured wood on the second photo. A drop of oil will do the job.

I can’t tell you how many whistles I have sold and passed on because of my Bleazey. Maybe it just fits my playing style and the music we focus on (not typically Itrad)? My low D is butter smooth. Plus Phil is a stand up guy and supports his customers 100%.
