I am selling my A. Rogge concert Pitch set. It’s got a few special features which make it quite a unique set.
Firstly it comes with a Blackwood Benedict Koehler Chanter with Fnat, Cnat and G# keys, and which has been used by Fred Morrison for many years. Noteably on many of his recordings and tours.
The Regs and Drones are reeded by Benedict Koehler with spruce Reeds in Tenor and Baritone and cane in the Bass.
It is equipped with Andreas Rogges tuning pin system on Tenor and Baritone Regs.
The set is all Blackwood, imitation Ivory and Sterling.
The set was finished in 2009.
I have used this set during my 4 years BA in Irish Music & Dance at the University of Limerick and have played it in my final performance. I am sad I have to sell it, but I want a reorientation in my sound and am opting to use the funds generated from the selling, to order a Dave Williams coppy from M. Coulter. I am specially sad to offer the B.Koehler chanter with the set, as Fred is a kind of piping hero for me and honestly speaking who would be glad selling Jimmy Hendrix’s guitar once he had it in his possession for a while…
For the time being while the new set will be made, I will use my Andy May boxwood Chanter, which is also a mighty instrument! But that one is not for sale
