Hello,
I am selling my old “Folk Band” set. It’s possibly a MacLeods from the 80’s; full imitation ivory & sterling slides.
I got it through Ian MacDonald (former piper of the Battlefield Band) in 2003. Played it since in pipe bands, solos and lately folk bands.
It’s in great shape, has Henderson drone reeds (carbon fibre), banantyne hide goretex combo bag with zip and comes with 3 different chanters if wanted. Blackwood Inveran, shepherd orchestral 440 concert pitch chanter and 90’s plastic War-Mac.
Also they would come with a used but ok bagpiper case (that’s offered with the set, not included in any price)
The drones are set up in a way that allows easy switching between 440hz concert pitch playing (folk bands, orchestras etc) and the usual higher pipe band pitch.
It’s a great set for starters to advanced players. Also nice as a good second instrument for tours with folk bands or on adventure holidays
For pictures and price info, please send me a mail to g-f-k(at)gmx.at
Cheers,
Frank
