FS: My Holmwood Tenor Treble concertina, made by hand by Hamish Bayne in Scotland in 2002. I am the original owner.
Octagonal, 56 button English concertina, rosewood sides and sycamore frames, 6 fold kid skin bellows, brass button keys, steel reeds in brass frames.
The entire instrument, including reed frames, tongues, and fittings, down to the brass screws are hand made. Hamish crafts each one of his concertinas as a unique instrument.
Action is very fast, tone superior. Excellent sound in sessions, but includes special wooden mutes which are fitted internally and can be removed if a louder, brighter sound is required
Includes custom made hardshell fiberglass travel case
Excellent condition, fanatically maintained. This is really a beautiful instrument, but facing retirement and looking to cull the instrument herd. Would like to find a good home for this great concertina.
Asking $3800. Reasonable offers considered.
