My favourite whistle for gigs and sessions apart from my feadogs, is my beloved syn Aluminium D,
It has been my pride and joy for almost 2 years, And has served me very well,
I often considered the consequences of anything happening to it, being dropped and damaged, accidently or stolen or any number of things that can occur amongst slightly less then sober bushdancers.
So it occured to me that i should syn again, just in case, so i did
3 times
annother 2 syn D whistles…ok i may be excessive, but i know what i like,
and I also tryed one of erle’s Black Diamond whistles.
Damn i am impressed, there only very slight appearance changes to the new to the old syns, but all are positive and dont affect the sound and playability in any way. I am impressed by the fact the sound is in no way compromised, and the sound from all 3 whistles is comparable.
The black Diamond is a gem, in the true sence of the word, but it is a different jewel all together, but every bit as alluring, it has a more sobering, and traditional sound, but clear, and pleasant in its own right, a joy to play.
Well done Erle Bartlett,
This is not a commercial post, but i firmly believe credit where credit due,
I am impressed
Regards
David
