Hi
I make a new attempt to sell my Rogge C-chanter on tradera.se
Uilleann pipes C-chanter in Plumwood and boxwood. brass. No keys. Two reeds. The Chanter is made 2008 by Andreas Rogge, Germany.
I just wanted to spread information here as well. Will put it on e-bay if I dont get it sold on tradera
Theres an English description of the chanter if you klick the link to the soundsamples: http://www.grasp.nu/cchanter
Hi R, the short answer is yes, if the tubing is smaller than the stock hole diameter (otherwise, you’d have to ream it out a bit which may not be advisable). The bigger issue is the difference in chanter length. Flat sets’ bags usually have a longer neck (1-3") to compensate for the taller chanter (think of it as a trigonometry solution). This, too, could be overcome by making an adaptor to add a little extra length, if necessary. I’ve made one with brass hobby tubing (a smaller “male” piece is of the same diameter as your original chanter’s windcap air tube and the “female” piece is slightly larger and this would accomodate the flat chanter’s windcap air tube). I joined mine together using rubber hose and covered it with some spare bits of leather I had.
Given the fact that your Childress set is D and the chanter in question is C, you may not have to do anything (my flat chanter is B).
