FS: Rogge D chanter, fully keyed + stop key + "tuning slide"

Hi,

I’m selling my Andreas Rogge concert D chanter made of ebony, boxwood and brass, with four keys (Cnat, Bb, G# and long F), stop key and tuning slide device for moving the reed without removing the reed cap. It’s the same system Andreas uses on his tenor/baritone regs. The chanter is about 15 months old and plays superb. It has a great reed that never needed tinkering since I got it, I literally didn’t remove the reed cap for the last year until I took the photos… It just plays in tune over the entire range.

The chanter is Andreas Rogge’s new Rowsome-based model. Plays effortlessly even in odd keys like A major :open_mouth:. Reason for sale is that I just ordered a new custom accordion and want to stick to that and the flute - I’m just not doing the chanter the justice it deserves.

Here are a few photos, note the tuning pin: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/fkd411jb5834e5e/FJotQBk-jC

…and a sound sample, please excuse my sloppy playing: https://app.box.com/s/6de1r65j3v4of61lbi33

New, this chanter would cost 1628€. As it is in perfect condition, I’m looking for something in the 1500€ area, so make me a reasonable offer. You can have a black Rogge leather bag with ebony/box mounts and bellows together with the chanter for 1850€, to make it a deluxe practise set. Shipping is extra and depends on where you live.

I’ll be in Ireland (Galway, Westport, Achill, maybe Limerick) for a week or so from next monday on, so I could possibly bring the chanter to Ireland for delivery or collection…

Drop me a PM if you’re interested!

Cheers, Gabriel

you’re too good a piper to be giving up

Wie schade! I’ve been in Ibbenbüren until today since 24th December, I have a Eamonn Curran boxwood chanter but I would have liked to try your chanter, sounds great!. Now I’m in Mainz-Koblenz-Düsseldorf until Tuesday when I fly back to Asturies.
Vielleicht können wir an Ostern etwas zusammen spielen (wenn ich wieder komme).

Sold. Thanks to all who showed interest.
