For Sale: O'Riordan low D/Eb whistle set!

To make money for a flute I’m getting (and since I am not really playing much low whistle anymore), I am selling this O’Riordan Traveler low D/Eb whistle set.

The low D is a three-piece whistle, with a head section, a body section containing the first five finger holes, and a foot section containing the sixth hole. The tube is thin walled, black anodized aluminium, with the mouthpiece itself being made of delrin. There are a some brass rings at various places along the tube. The set also comes with an extra, interchangeable Eb body section, which can be used with the low D head and foot sections to turn the instrument into an Eb low whistle.

The whistle has a very small outer diameter, but since it’s so thin walled, the inner bore might actually not be that much more narrow than on other low Ds (I haven’t checked though). However, the small outer diameter makes the whistle easier to grasp. Finger holes are small to medium’ish, and the reach, while certainly longer than on, say, Overton, Dixon, or Copeland low whistles, is still reasonably comfortable for me.

It’s got quite low back pressure (so the second octave is easy to hit), but the air requirements are relatively high, so you tend to run out of air more often than on, say, Overtons.

The sound is a lovely complex, slightly airy sound - especially so in the second octave. Volume is good.

I am asking $700 (for my fellow Europeans that would be €550 or £380) plus shipping. The whistle set is located in Denmark.
