I thought I would try one more time to sell these excellent whistles to a fellow C&Fer before heading to the heartless badlands that is eBay!
Seriously, both whistles are in excellent condition and both play and sound GREAT. The Thin Weasal is Honduran Rosewood and is very attractive (not to mention in absolute mint condition). Glenn Shultz sent me two to pick from-- one in Cocobolo and this Honduran Rosewood one. The Honduran won clearly to my ear. The Burke is the wide bore aluminum model and has a wonderful round tone that is easy to play through both octaves.
The Thin Weasal sells new for $300 or more. I am asking $240. The Burke sells new for around $110 I believe. I am selling it for $80.
Please e-mail me off list if interested. First come first served!
Hi Tres,
I’ve been thinking about buying a burke whistle, and I might be interested. The only thing is I have to wait till I get paid, which I believe is either next week or the week after.
I like it a lot. Last month I got a lot of whistles (some to keep, some to try), so I haven’t really given it the attention it deserves. I like the look of it, and the feel. It’s a sweet and easy player. Great whistle. You’ve fine taste in them, Tres.
