I might try dressing in Renaissance garb and frolicking through the forest, fluting here, fluting there, modulating to a different key at the end–might actually make a living playing this tube-like thingy.
Or, I could play like this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtSjM3YU7Qw and get 300,000+ views. This is by far the most popular solo Irish flute vid I found. For good reason, but most others are lucky to be out of the 1000+.
The video of Seamus Egan was from the Mad for Trad series of tutorials. My sense of it was that someone posted the videos on YouTube and sales of the tutorials fell through the floor. I doubt Mad for Trad sold 400,000 copies of the Seamus Egan tutorial disc. You Tube has its value but not always positive I suppose.
I could watch that Seamus video all day!! Learned this awhile back…thanks for the reminder…what a freaking genius that man is…I have the CD he made when he was 16…Seamus Egan, traditional music of Ireland…oh my, oh my!! Even at such a young age, he was such a prodigy!!
