flute case

DOH! I hate when that happens. Maybe we need to put both flute and owner in trees’s Olwell Roller case (see above). Bicycle attachment optional, of course.

The humidification ports look very helpful…maybe something like that could be added to handheld cases, too.

Here is Klaus’s proto type flute box so far. The problem is there is no lid… I keep telling him “cut the lid, so I can look inside!” Should be a nice box in 2012 when he gets it done.

I’m also still looking for a case for my flute.
The pistol cases are OK, but do not really match the quality of the 6-key Aebi flute in my opinion. The Aebi came with a hand made case by the previous owner’s son. It’s nice, but not too sturdy.

I really like this one:

but the maker (Glen Watson) only provides then with his own flutes (bother!)

I’d like to have the skills to make such a case myself…

Glenn told me that it takes him hours to make the oval case- bending the plywood, using tiny nails to fix the lid, etc. I thought he was implying that he wouldn’t long be continuing to make cases that took so much of his time.
(Each case comes with a terrific flute, as you can see. Get ‘em now before it’s too late… www.watsonflutes.com )
(I have no connection with Glenn except that I own one of his six-key flutes with hand-swaged silver keys- like Wilkes’ keys they are not sand forged.)
