Flute and Fife FS: on ebay

Hi, here are links to a keyless sweetheart Flute in D and a Sweet folk fife in C that I have put on ebay.

What does the letter “m” above the serial number mean?

I am not sure. I know the Sweets have made a lot of flutes. Maybe it was a series or batch of wood. It is a great fife and has a full sound in the lower octaves. I got it to be able to play in D minor, but I recently got an 8 key flute and don’t have need for it anymore.

One thing I would like to add to this post. It was recently brought to my attention that I posted the flute and fife as tunable on ebay. Some one told me they are not “tunable” because they don’t have a tuning slide. I don’t want to mislead anyone with my listing on ebay. They are great flutes, and I have pulled the head joint out to tune to other players. THis seems to work well, and I never had a problem playing out of tune with these flutes. The fife I had to pull the head joint out just a little for it to play in tune, but the flute was always right on. Anyway, just wanted to add that.
Thank you.
