Florida Tionol Feb 2003

Hello and sorry for the intrusion, but the details for the 2003 Florida
Uilleann Pipers Tionol are finally resolved.

Fees are now being collected for the 2003 Florida Tionol so that flights
and accomodations can be arranged for our visiting instructors.

The instructors this year will be Kieran O’Hare and Eamonn Dillon on
pipes, and Patrick Sky on reedmaking and maintenance.

The cost of the Tionol is $85. (fee had to be adjusted slightly due to
required insurance to cover events)

A block of rooms are reserved at the Maitland Florida Sheraton at 600 N.
Lake Destiny Drive, Maitland. (407) 660-9000 You will receive the
discounted rate of $79 if you say that you are with the Florida Uilleann
Pipers. We are staying at the Sheraton because the Tionol concerts and
sessions are at the An Tobar Pub just downstairs so there is no late
night drunken driving… just elevator stumbling.

The date of the events are still from the evening of Friday, February
14th through the morning of Sunday, February 16th. The schedule is
listed below.

Many of you have expressed interest, so now is time to send in the fees
so I can get the instructors’ flights booked et. al.

Please make payment to:
John Maze
1716 SE 64th Way
Gainesville, Florida 32641

This is my home address so you know where to find me if you are worried
about sending me money…

Last year was a terrific time with great instruction, music, and craic.
This year proves to be even better!

If anyone is interested in private lessons on that Sunday from Eamonn,
Kieran, or Patrick, costs are $50 per hour and I need to get a head
count now so that the instructors know when to fly home.

The current website is listed below, but needs and will be updated with
more current and helpful information over the next several weeks
including maps.

if you have questions, you can call me (john) directly at 352.377.6227.
I know that the holidays are upon us and money is tight, but if you are
going to be present, please don’t wait until the last minute to send in
your fee otherwise Kathleen and I will be paying out of our pockets to
have three famous pipers and teachers for just the two of us!!!
