The new CD THE BLACKBIRD by Fling was mentioned a little while back. Tayberry has it is stock now. My copy just arrived and the first track RETURN TO CLIFDEN is the the most beutiful thing I’ve ever heard.

Several months ago Evertjan 't Hart, Fling’s Uilleann piper (and producer) placed a demo solo version of ‘Clifden’ online. He’s using a 30+ year old keyless B pitched narrow bore chanter that was purchased from a pawn shop in England.
I learned the tune on a B whistle for now… and I’m awaiting a custom ordered B pitched Uilleann chanter. (insert big smile w/ rubbing hands together gesture)
Fling’s CD version of ‘Clifden’ with the keyboard accompaniment is the ‘icing on the cake’ to Evertjan’s original version.
