Took this pic at Widemouth Bay in Cornwall on Sunday evening. I cropped it to show the setting sun which appears considerably flattened. Apparently this is due to refraction. Wonderful.

Gorgeous, Steve. I spent several hours over the weekend trying to paint a wash just like that in watercolors! Makes me want to head right back into my “studio” and have at it again.

Ahh, if we’re doing sunset pics, then here’s one - taken by me a few months ago on Sand Key, Florida:
And one I took from near the top of St. John, U.S.V.I. - What you see across the water is St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. :
And another I took in Florida this winter - the colors were intense this day. BTW, no filters were used, nor were the pictures photoshopped or altered in any other way, the colors and light are just as the camera captured them:
Okay last one for now. I knocked the setting dial on the camera by mistake, so this photo came out exposed completey “wrong” hence the wild color. OTH, the sun did look like a giant fireball in the sky at that moment, and the feeling is more or less captured:
Loren, you should paint those.
