Fipple Manufacturer/Supplier

I have some whistle designs I want to make but would rather have the fipples manufactured by someone else. Does anyone know of such a source?

I’d like to get some of good quality but could start off with something plastic like the Generation’s use. I’m also going to be making them for kids so plastic would keep the costs down but I also want some quality ones for other designs as well.

Thanks much in advance!

Gary Humphrey’s Retrofit Head (good high end mouthpiece). raindog1970 is his handle where you can pm him.

Thanks for the suggestions. The biggest problem I’m running into is the cost of the plastic ones. My plan is to make some PVC whistles for kids and grow a legion of pennywhistle players for world domination!

OK, that’s not true, I don’t want to dominate the world since I can’t even keep up on the laundry as it is but I do want to make them as gifts for kids. I have a source in Ireland that will sell them to me in lots of 100 for a $1 each with shipping but I’d like to find a local source.

Does anyone know of a US supplier? How about a source for Generation whistles like a company website? Maybe I can find out who makes them for their company.

OR… Does anyone have any success in mass producing fipples without the hacksaw and file method? Not that those are not valid fipples and have a total authenticity to them but it’s very time consuming.

Danka again.

Uh, if you want to supply a legion of young whistle demons…you can buy ready made whislte for 5 bucks. Megs for 3. No labor involved.
You said you wanted to start with cheap heads. You might as well start with cheap ready made bodies too. It’s the heads that generally define the quality of the cheap whistle anyway.
