Dale and Rich, this looks good;
But of course, we knew it would!

Edited to say:
Hm, interesting that I could edit this post that someone else posted in my name!
Should I or should I not?
That it the question.
Whether is is nobler in a Chiffer’s mind
To suffer the misfortunes of a usurped
Posting or by reposting end it!
My face is red;
My mood is purple;
Up I’m fed
With this usurple!

Yeah. It’s a great forum.
I should write a poem, but I won’t.

Aww, C’mon, Walden. Your poems are one thing that makes this a fine forum.

You gotta. I’ll get you started.
(To the tune of The Birkin Tree:)
I hasten to the chiffin’ site
To set my bummer day a’right,
When who’s been posting late last night
But Nano, Dub, and Gary,
Some nonsense and some music,
It cheers me to peruse it.
It’s easy to abuse it,
(so says the guy I married…)
I read about how Syns are hip,
And notes from Amar’s latest trip,
And how the Crystal People grip
Dale’s mind in sneaky fashion,
And now Bloom’s really rolling,
Some toasty guy is trolling,
and Walden’s back to polling,
On latest chiffer passions…

Hey, cool. Poetry!
With a nod to the cat thread (and, for the particulary twisted, to the Cat Stevens thread , too)…
The Orange Cat
by Steve Olivera
I wish I were an orange cat,
Smashed upon the pavement, flat,
My guts all frozen to that cold, hard place,
Greyhound bus tracks across my face.
Oh, that I were that melancholy kitty,
Greeting traffic in the cold, dark city,
Not moving 'til from the pavement I am pried,
All cold and dead and satisfied.
Someone took the liberty
To dredge this up and it wasn’t me!
Look at the date and go by that;
That’ll tell you it’s old hat!
But for the record let me say:
It is still pertinent today!

Now I know what happens to those who DON’T get hired by Hallmark to write all those fine cards.
Whew I thought I was losing my mind, looked like the same old forum.
Roses are red
And violets are blue
I dig C&F
And so do you. Admit it.

Roses are pink,
Violets are pipple,
Show me some chiff,
And I’ll show you some fipple.
Roses’re pank,
Vyalets’re parple;
Writin’ pomes shore is a darn sight better than readin’ 'bout
H. Poirot or Miss Marple.

The first two lines sound like Ian Paisley was reading them.

I heard it this way from my cousin,
Roses is red,
Violets is purple,
Sugar is sweet,
And so is surple.

Somebody once told me that silver, orange, and purple are the only words in English without a rhyming word.
I think I believe it.
and after all that, I’m glad they are

Boy howdy! that Nano can rhyme like Will Shakespeare
With diction and meter, he so clearly takes keer
I never’d’ve thought of rhyming parple with Marple,
That’s probably why all my pomes is so garbled.
Rhyme candor, and dander, and pander, and hand 'er,
Meander, belt sander, corriander, philander.
But still I don’t find for purple a rhyme,
No wonder Crayola called it violet. It saves time.
Oh, that hurt the meter, and messed up the beat,
And all of my hard-wrought iambical feet.
