FINALLY! A car whistle.

I have read with jealousy peoples’ postings about car-whistles. Now then, I’ve been true to the craft. As soon as I get a new whistle, I set designs on another. Once, I even called Michael Copeland to see if he would make me a gold one (in the future) if I got him the materials. Specifically 18K Green Gold. www.hooverandstrong.com He said he would, but I can’t quite afford that right now. The stuff is about $85.00 or more per square inch. I PMed Stacey just last nite aboot one o’her low whistles…

Anyway… I’ve got whistles on the coffee table, I’ve got them by the computer… they’re everywhere. But, I never managed to just leave one of 'em in the car… until now. :smiling_imp:

Last week or so I ordered a Jerry Freeman Tweaked Sweetone D. It came in the mail very quickly. It plays very easily as Jerry promises. I love it. Only thing is, I can’t bring myself to take it in the house. I played it at all the red-lights and stops on the way home the first day. I played along with CDs and without. It is my car-whistle.

I have a car fife. And now I have a car flute, my Dixon polymer. It doesn’t live in the car, but it rides there when I’m driving.

I was driving a short distance the other day, and I was listening to a tape with a tune on it I wanted to learn. My Clarke D was in the passenger seat, and I actually picked it up at a stop light and played it a bit to figure out a few notes. I never thought I would do that!!

Whistle accessory. (First you get the car whistle, then …)

BTW, Cranberry. Where’d you get that picture of Ganesh? I would like to see the whole picture somewhere if it’s available.

Wow! A fife in the car? I thought I was gonna go deaf when my car whistles were Susatos, isn’t a fife even louder?

I fluted in the car for a few days when I was taking a flute to work for some repairs. I got a few inquiring looks from other drivers. I don’t have a polymer, though, so no flute lives in the car.

My JeryyTone has become my car whistle, too! Go figure… :sunglasses:

I say that any whistle you can drive is a car whistle. Make sense?

Makes sense to me…but what do I know?

I have ONE whistle. ONE. It’s a Silkstone that my honey bunny bought me for my early birthday present (birthday’s in August, he bought it in February  ).

It goes everywhere with me. I purposely have a HUGE leather bag (teased for it relentlessly) that I throw everything in to, including music; cause I have a lousy memory.

I have fough WHOA, and have WON!!! HA! :smiling_imp:

FOUGHT…

What you need is one of my Yorvic flutes, its like panpipes with 8 holes.
Buy a low from me and get one free.
They are great for improving flute and whistle playing

You know the page that this board was first linked to when it shut down? I stole it from there. :stuck_out_tongue:

What a sheltered life you’ve lead Stacey…or maybe we have one of our cross-the-pond linguistic discrepancies here? :boggle: Or just maybe our Cranberry’s had a little sun?

Well, now. There’s no reason you couldn’t order more than one. Shall I send you a dozen or so?

Hi, Charlie,

You’re right, you can’t fife in the car unless you wanna go deaf. It’s LOUD!! But it’s there if I feel the urge to fife during break at work, or if I drive by a nice inviting empty park or something…

At your service!

Our staff at the Global Whistle Tweaking Research and Production Consortium international headquarters is working day and night to assure your complete satisfaction. (Though I must say, I’m not as pleased with Ralph number two. He shows up for work on time and doesn’t drink, same as Ralph number one, and he maintains the same level of productivity, but he doesn’t fit into the corporate culture as well as Ralph number one did. It’s just not the same around here. You never really appreciate how important a single staff member is until after they’ve gone.)
