Feedback on Makers

Greetings all.

The continuous research into makers never ends. Watching this board (I contributed twice - I’m not lurking, am I?) I have gleaned useful info from many of you on a great number of makers. Many searches into old posts have also yielded great bits of info. But I would like to gather some first hand feedback.

I’m asking for those who care to share, to PM me with their comments on three particular makers. I would prefer first hand reports. The makers I am most curious about are:

Seth Gallagher
Charles Roberts
David Boisvert – “Greenwood Pipes”

I have done quite a bit of my own research, as mentioned. Location (would prefer an American maker), price, wait time, these are things I have weighed on my own. These guys have seemingly good reputations on the board. I am just looking for that extra level. Playability, sound quality, physical quality, support, suitablility as a first set. Like I mentioned, I am seeking private correspondence. Those who want to comment openly on the board, that’s up to you. I am pretty sure one of these guys is on the board here.

It may still be a while til I can pull the trigger. Neither my bank nor my wife are ready for this step quite yet. But I continue to do my research and play my whistle. :sniffle:

Cheers All

A well-judged post, Tumbler, you haven’t been wasting your time and have picked up a lot of the right signals.

Good luck with your quest, and let us know how you get on, others might also benefit from feedback from you on the feedback you’re getting in response to this (i.e. metafeedback?).
