The Sunset Reel by Cathal McConnell and Seamus Quinn has both C-naturals and C-sharps in the tune. You can hear Frankie Kennedy play it on the Best of Altan Album.
“The Threepenny Bit” has everything for a whistle player to enjoy! Nice crans on D and a half roll on d (second octave). Lots of C naturals, a slide into Cnat. and a roll on C nat. It doesn’t get much better than this! By the way, how do you folks who only use half holing on Cnat. do a roll on said note?
Best wishes, Tom
Did anyone mention Hartigan’s Fancy? Or is it just myself that has a difficult time practicing that one? ![]()
To me, it’s my finger’s equivalent to saying “She Sells Seashells…” 500 times in a row.
