Hmm… fascinating. Here’s more of her website. http://www.flutes.nu/fluteframes.php

Cheers,

The sound samples on the site Aaron found really freaked me out at first - until I noticed 2 said “without reverb” on them. Those two tracks sounds normal. Actually, I think her flute sounds pretty good. I’d looked at them in the past, but I think they’re a little pricey for a cyclindrical bore flute.

One caveat, I have never played one before.

Hi all, I am new here, and very interested in all of these polymer flutes. I have played a Boehm flute for years, in addition to many ethnic flutes and creations made on my kitchen floor resulting from $15 and the hardware store.

I have made some very well in tune flutes from thick wall PVC with a range of 2+ octaves and decent tone. They cost me about $10 in materials to build. Now I have an M&E Rudall on the way, and it should be nice to see what something 70 times that price is capable of.

I have never played one of these Australian flutes, but if they are anything like the PVC ones I have made, they are pretty near indestructible, in tune, with a warm tone and (slightly?) overpriced. (IMHO)
