I have to shrink my collection a bit, so I’m putting up for sale a Sweetheart high D that was given to me about a year ago. As I mention in the auction page, the fipple side of the tuning joint was split when it was given to me, but Mr. Sweet repaired it by adding a nickel ring (can be seen in auction pictures). He told me this was not an uncommon fix for them to perform.
The whistle plays very nicely and is a beautiful piece of work. It requires a bit more breath in the upper register than I’m accustomed to (I generally play a Parks Everywhistle). Numbered 9223 on both pieces. Wish I could keep it, but sometimes you have to thin down the collection.
