duets

Does anyone know of places where they have duets for 2 whisltes, or in my case a whistle and flute? thanks!

That’s a good question, I’ve been looking for actual whistle duet music as well but haven’t seen any as of yet.

You could easily find duets for recorder which many of them are in the key of D and G. me and my daughter do this with a renaissance recorder duet book and it sounds nice. I’m sure there are many fluet duet books too, though you may find that many of the duets will be in various keys and may make it hard for whistle.

You can also use two whistles with 5th’s apart and play the same line with the same fingering though this may sound lame after a while:/.

There’s Airs for Pairs, Volume 1 and Volume 2.

This book’s description very specifically mentions duets.

Also, this book has a few tunes that have a variation which can be played
along with the usual tune to make a duet.

In fact, if you find a tune that has a significantly different variation, you can
try playing them together as a duet - it frequently works…

Get your hands on the Paddy Moloney and Sean Potts record/cd.

It’s great!!
