I live to be corrected. 
And I live to transcribe horrible songs. It’s my destiny. 
i can’t complain… at least what i posted was close… it was minus any embellishment, but the basic melody line seems to be there… i was played what i could remember of the tune by ear and wrote the notes…

That’s what got me to pick my whistle back out of the closet
I grew up with a Dansette record player and a pile of old 45’s including a few Andy Stewart ones, including Donald Where’s Yer Troosers. When I started reading this post I could smell the record player again in my head as the vinyl coverings heated up from the valves.

The record player had an auto changer and if I was off school sick I used to stack up loads of 45’s and it would play them through one after another.
