Today, my sister and I went in to Tulsa, and on the way, we passed a semi pulling a large flat trailer. There was only one thing on the bed of that trailer. Strapped down securely, smack dab in the middle, was a little yellow Tonka dumptruck.

I’ve seen that once, just before Christmas on route 90. Our theory was it was a Christmas present for the son of a truck driver.
Birthday, perhaps? Or maybe it’s the same truck and a permanent fixture!
Maybe it’s that driver’s standard response to going home after a delivery…
Maybe they don’t get paid if there’s no load. Pretty funny.
I had a yellow Tonka dump truck when I was a kid. They really were nearly indestructible.
Probably some sort of tax or government regulation thing. The driver could declare this trip as a business expense if he was “delivering one dump truck” or some such thing.
Probably just a driver with a sense of humor. You’d be surprised at the lengths some of them will go to to entertain themselves and each other.
