that’s pretty good, Davy sending you his chanter to try before you placed an order, I must say he was always happy to answer my questions about pipes in general, either when I phoned him or by e-mail (before his computer stopped working). Were you able to manage the C chanter by the way?

Yes,I can handle it! The right hand needs a little strech but I soon get used to it. C is my favorite pitch since I first heard Brian McNamara’s recordings “A Piper’s Dream”.
What is that brown wood? It looks lovely. Is that the student chanter?
The brown wood is actually rather green, it’s lignum vitae and yes it’s the student chanter
