Another web group where I am a member (Gothic sub-culture) came up with an interesting solution to forum fights. A :smiling_imp: Flame Forum :smiling_imp: was instituted where arguments can be settled in a gloves off all profanity version if one desires. It benefits those who don’t want to read a topic gone awry and usually results in some very creative insults and funny tirades. Seeing some of the whistler’s fights and U.P. slug fests tends to make me think this would be well appreciated by most memebers and become the main forum for a few. When a thread gets too hot it is deleted from its forum of origin and moved to the flame forum: Two men enter. One man leaves. 16 others stand at the side and play sh-t disturber.

I agree, give the great one his own forum, so we can pay homage.

I know it hasn’t been too much fun for some, but Dale you must agree when the great one speaks the earth moves. Look at those ratings man.

I’m torn on this. That means that threads with worthwhile input on various matters might suddenly get moved without warning. Those who were discussing something of general interest would then lose all that good info, as well as lose the opportunity to continue to discuss the original topic.

If we were to agree to a flame forum, and if the moderator agrees (and if its do-able at all), I would rather see the offending entry be moved rather than the whole thread.

Yup djm,

That’s how it works in the other board. If the comments are inflamatory,
just those get moved to the flame forum with a wee note from the moderator. You can also post directly in the f.f. just to start crap.

Just checked out the "Outside " troll pit: I dunno; pretty tame for the most part…just a couple of folks swingin’ their purses at each other, if anything.

It could get entertaining.

They are probably subject to a “Reasonable Purse swinger” Policy… pretty much how we are here.

Everyone else has gotten in a few swings at the big guy.. I might as well. Im not even sure why for… Just following the crowd I guess..
