I was going to post this instrument on the used instrument exchanged but it’s a brand new never sold whistle so I’m posting it here. This tunable Low D is one I made about 15 years ago and has the BIG maple head and uses teflon tape for the interface between the brass body and the head.
I consider it a big bore whistle as it is slightly larger than my standard low D bore and it has a big booming low end and plays beautifully all the way to the top. It is an easy blower so takes a bit more air volume compared to my standard Low D. This is a left over from days gone by so a one of a kind offer. It also has off-set holes for right hand on the bottom. Price $280 plus shipping.
A customer of mine asked if I had any maple headed whistles left over and this is one I came up with as well as a couple of others which he bought.
Any takers?
